It is a... read more difficult climb up the mountain but worth doing if you are able to do it. This tour was great because everything is organized for you. Heidi will meet with you a day prior and explain the tour. I highly recommend the Sacred Valley tour be added but ask for a later train to Aqua Caliente. Also upgrade your hotel, it is definitely worth it. This tour can seem expensive but if you calculate the cost of individual purchases of bus tickets, train tickets, entry fee to Machu Picchu, the hotel and tour guides. It is slightly more than you would pay on your own but it is the convenience that provides the value. I couldn’t book anything in advance because we were unsure of our traveling dates. Heidi was very helpful and ready to assist with any of our traveling needs.

We stayed in Ollantaytambo which is just a magical tiny town. The next day we went to Macchu Pichu. Heidi took care of everything (tickets, pick ups, instructions, everything) The visit to Macchu Pichu is absolutely magical. A must see. We took many tours wirh Heidi and all of them were excellent, she is very professional, reliable, dependable and kind. The guides are caring and very professinal. I strongly recommend her for all the adventures that await in Cusco, because then the trip is hassle free.
